Description

A very frost tolerant variety. Plants stand well making them ideal for winter cropping well into the new year. When to sow: March to April. Indoors: May be sown early in trays under glass for exhibition work. Outdoors: Sow thinly in a well prepared seed bed in shallow drills 2cm deep in short rows. Thin to 4-5cm apart as they grow. Lift and transplant when about the thickness of the pencil. Make a 15cm deep hole with a rod, trim off the ends of roots and leaves, drop into the hole and fill the hole with water. Do not fill the hole with soil. The length of white stem can be increased by earthing up as the plant grows. Harvest: October to January
