Once again we were at the Suffolk Show on Wednesday 31st May and Thursday 1st June. Despite disappointing weather we were able to create a fantastic display on our stand. We were hoping to retain the Perpetual Cup, awarded to the stand making the best display with plants! Once again, making it three years a row, the cup was retained and is now proudly displayed within the garden centre…who knows…we may make it four years in a row…
This year again water features and an even bigger pond were prominent features on our stand. We had a large teak furniture set supplied by Bridgman on display which was an extremely small taste of the type and quality of garden furniture you will find here at Mill Race!
For the first time, in the gazebo, we had a large vivarium which housed two bearded dragons, two rankin dragons and two herman tortoises. All the reptiles came from our extensive reptile department we now have within the garden centre. On hand to give advice about these fascinating creatures was Katie who runs our reptile section
The stand once again was designed by Christine who is a member of staff here. She created a wonderful effect with her design and clever use of plants….clearly the judges thought so too!
