Product Specification

An AAS award winner, Honey Bear produces small fruits that are just the right size halved for single servings. This acorn type squash is deliciously starchy and sweet which makes them ideal for baking with their skinbs on. It produces a compact bush plant, with an average 3-4 fruits on each. This type is resistant to powdery mildew and has a maturity of approximately 85 days from sowing. Squash is a delicious vegetable when roasted and can also be used to make tasty soups.,
WHERE TO SOW
Sow in pots or modules. Two seeds in each under protection in late March to June, just covering the seeds.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Harden off and plant out 60cm (24") apart and 1m (40") between rows. Ensure all danger of frost has gone.
HANDY TIP
The first fruit can normally be picked about 100 days after planting out.
