Annabel is a dwarf variety which is specially bred to produce a large quantity of fresh, stringless pods for harvesting when about 8- 10cm long. Because of this they can be cooked whole. This family of beans is frost tender and cannot be sown until the weather has warmed up.,

Early sowings in glasshouse or cold frame in individual pots or modules. Direct sowings in growing site two seeds 5cm (2") deep every 20cm (8") in rows 60cm (24") apart.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Glasshouse seedlings should be gradually hardened off before planting outside in late May to the spacings above. Direct sowings should be thinned to single seedlings as soon as large enough to handle. Water regularly.

Spraying the flowers is not necessary to set pods but they do need to have plenty of moisture at the roots when forming pods.
